How many moving boxes do you need?
A rule of thumb is about one moving box per square metre of your home. For a 50-square-metre home, for example, you'll need about 50 moving boxes on average. So you can estimate your need by the size of your home:
work out the number of boxes roughly from your home's floor area
reserve a few extra boxes if you have a lot of loose items
books, dishes and other heavy things use up boxes quickly
If you're unsure, it's better to reserve slightly more boxes than you think you'll need.
What are the moving boxes like?
The moving boxes are plastic, machine-washed and stackable. One box holds 54 litres, and measures 60 cm long, 40 cm wide and 30 cm deep. The sturdy build protects your belongings throughout transport, and stackability saves space both when packing and in transit.
What does renting moving boxes cost?
The moving-box rental is 17 cents per box per day. Delivery in the Greater Helsinki area (Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo) is €19 each way. So you pay the rental based on the number of days and boxes, plus the delivery-and-collection transport charge.
How does renting moving boxes work?
You order the moving boxes online, and we deliver them to your door before your move. Once you've unpacked in your new home, we collect the boxes as agreed. That way you don't have to store or transport empty boxes yourself.

For move customers, we lend sturdy, stackable moving boxes free of charge if you pick them up and return them yourself to our office in Vantaa, Kaivoksela (Vetokuja 4). The recommended loan period is up to 2–3 weeks.
